Why Safety Standards Matter
In New Zealand, the Red Sticker (S mark) or the Yellow/Blue Sticker (European standard) are non-negotiable. When buying or selling pre-loved, you must ensure the seat is within its lifespan and hasn't been in an accident.
The Lifespan of a Car Seat
Most car seats have a lifespan of 6 to 10 years. We check the manufacture date on every seat that comes through the Nestee workshop to ensure it meets our strict safety criteria.
Identifying Accident Damage
Not all damage is visible. Hairline fractures in the plastic can compromise the seat's integrity. This is why we use a multi-point inspection process before approving any seat for our boutique.
