1. Selling Your Gear to Us (The Valuation Process)

We want to turn your outgrown gear into cash, fast. When you use our digital appraisal tool, here is how it works:

• Quotes are Indicative (and Valid for 7 Days): Our 60-second instant offers are a guide price based on the market data and photos you provide. Because pre-loved market values fluctuate, your quote is only valid for 7 days. The final price is locked in only after our team does a quick in-person verification during pickup.
• The Safety & Ownership Guarantee: By submitting an item for a quote, you legally guarantee that:
  • You are the sole owner of the item (it is not stolen or tied up in an active finance/Afterpay plan).
  • The item has never been involved in a vehicle accident (strictly enforced for car seats).
  • The item is not subject to any manufacturer safety recalls.
  • The item is within its manufacturer expiry date (car seats).
• Hygiene & Accuracy: You agree that the information and photos you provide are accurate. Gear must be reasonably clean, structurally sound, and free of mold or heavy pet damage.
• Adjustments & The Right to Refuse: If we swing by to pick up the item and it doesn't match the photos, doesn't meet our strict safety standards, or is missing required manufacturer labels, we reserve the right to either offer a revised (lower) price or cancel the collection entirely. If we offer a revised price, you are under no obligation to accept it.
• Ownership Transfer: Once you accept our final offer at collection and we transfer the funds, the item officially belongs to Nestee.

2. Buying Pre-Loved Gear from Us

We curate our items for safety and style, so you can buy with total peace of mind.

• Item Condition & NZ Consumer Law: We deal in premium pre-loved gear. While we thoroughly inspect, clean, and grade every item (e.g., "Excellent", "Good"), normal wear and tear is to be expected for second-hand goods. We fully abide by the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA). If an item is fundamentally faulty or not as described in our high-resolution photos, we will make it right.
• Payments: All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Your order is not confirmed until payment is successfully processed.
• Pricing & Availability: Because our inventory is made up of unique, single items, everything is first-come, first-served. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors or cancel an order if an item accidentally double-sells.

3. 3D Models & Augmented Reality (AR) Features

To give you the most transparent and confident shopping experience possible, we use advanced 3D scanning and Augmented Reality (AR) so you can virtually "spin" and inspect our pre-loved gear right in your living room. By using these features, you agree to the following:

• Independent Reseller: Nestee is an independent boutique for pre-loved baby gear. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the original manufacturers of the gear we sell (e.g., Nuna, Mountain Buggy, Maxi Cosi).
• Visual Aids Only: Our 3D and AR models are proprietary digital representations created by the Nestee team. They serve as advanced "photographs" solely to help you evaluate the condition and size of the specific second-hand item for sale.
• Why the Logos are Missing: To strictly respect the Trademarks of the original manufacturers, we digitally remove brand logos and text from our 3D AR models. Don't worry—the physical item you purchase will still feature all its original, required manufacturer labels and safety tags!
• Digital Property & Strict No-Download Policy: The 3D files underlying our AR experience are the exclusive digital property of Nestee. You may interact with them on our website, but you may not download, scrape, reverse-engineer, alter, or reuse these 3D models for any reason. Using our digital models for manufacturing, 3D printing, or any outside commercial use is strictly prohibited and violates both our intellectual property and the design rights of the original manufacturers.

4. Fraud Prevention & Identity Verification

To protect our community from stolen goods and fraudulent transactions, we maintain strict verification protocols.

• Ownership Checks: By requesting a quote and booking a collection, you consent to us using your provided information to cross-reference the item against stolen property databases and verify your identity.
• Zero Tolerance: If we reasonably suspect an item is stolen, subject to an active finance plan (like Afterpay), or if fraudulent details are provided, we reserve the right to instantly cancel the transaction, ban your account, and share relevant information with New Zealand law enforcement authorities.

5. Account & Booking Security

When you generate a quote or purchase an item, you may be provided with a unique URL to access your Booking Portal or order status. You are responsible for keeping this link private.

Nestee will never ask you for your credit card details or passwords over email, SMS, or Facebook Messenger. All payments must be completed through our secure, automated website checkout.

6. Website & Content Use

All the design, copy, images, and brand assets on this website belong to Nestee. You may not copy, scrape, or reuse our content, code, or images without our permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

While we rigorously inspect every item (especially car seats) for safety and structural integrity, Nestee relies on the manufacturer's original safety standards. To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Nestee is not liable for any indirect damages, injuries, or losses resulting from the use of the baby gear purchased from us. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure items are installed and used correctly according to the original manufacturer's manual.
